The Proper Hotel, San Francisco : One Cool Spot

If you love a good, hip and well-decorated place to rest your head…look no further. From the black and white themed wallpaper rooms – to the rooftop bar with an epic view – this adorable chic hotel is a do not miss in my book if staying on San Francisco.

This was my 8th time to visit San Francisco, and I wanted to try a new hotel for my quick one-night stay. I found the Proper Hotel SF on hotels.com (my go-to site) and I did some research. I loved the photos I was seeing and decided to give it a try, amidst the pessimistic reviews about homeless people around the area.

After getting done at my photo shoot for the evening, I arrived to a wonderful check in, free bottle of water, room upgrade and a GORGEOUS lobby. Talk about decorating dreams come true. I was quickly taken by the gold foil key card wallet on the way to my room. Amazing taste that caught my attention, as I used to work for a print broker and know the cost and attention to detail that goes into that.

Upon walking into my room, a sea of all black and white amazingness engulfed me. HOLY WOW. YES. Wallpaper GOALS AF. I mean…come on. I was quickly trying to figure out how I could copy this in my own home back in Dallas, TX. Every single small detail of the room was thoughtfully curated. Down to the Aesop bathroom products (thank you Proper Hotel!)

If staying here, definitely do not miss out on a dinner at Villon! I highly recommend the Yellowfin appetizer and the short rib entree. AMAZING. Also, for a drink with the best view of San Francisco, head up the 7th floor to Charmaine’s rooftop bar. And in the morning, grab a wonderful latte at La Bande. The green tile decor will take your breathe away.

I highly recommend the Proper San Francisco, and look forward to their newest sister hotel opening in Austin soon!
